A person in Ferizaj did not stop at a police stop sign, caused an accident and hit a bakery building.

The Kosovo Police for the Ferizaj region has announced that the Road Traffic Police Unit signaled a Mercedes vehicle with local license plates to stop, but the driver of the vehicle did not stop and continued driving at high speed, subsequently causing an accident.

The incident occurred on Friday at 13:28 p.m., on "Driton Islami" street in Ferizaj.

“…the traffic police unit signaled a Mercedes with local license plates to stop. However, the driver of the vehicle did not stop and continued driving at high speed.

"During the police escort, on 'Vëllezërit Gërvalla' street, the suspect caused a traffic accident by hitting and damaging a bakery building," the announcement states.

The state prosecutor was notified of all police actions and the suspect M. Sh., 18 years old, was escorted to the police station in Ferizaj and after the interview, a case was initiated for the offense of "Causing general danger".

The same individuals were issued misdemeanor fines for failing to respect the policeman's "Stop" sign and driving a vehicle without obtaining a driver's license. /Telegrafi/
