Two weeks after the winning numbers were drawn, the mystery winner of the European Eurojackpot worth 120 million euros ($139 million) has emerged, a spokesman for the lottery company told dpa.

The winner is a man between 30 and 60 years old, who appeared in person at the lottery office in Berlin on Tuesday.

"He took his time because he wanted the news to spread," the spokesman said.

"He seemed calm," the spokesman added.

And his ticket was verified as matching all the winning numbers.

The winner has not revealed any plans for where he will spend the money, which is expected to be transferred to his account next week after a verification process.

The man had placed nine bets worth a total of 19 euros. The winning numbers - 7, 18, 31, 32, 33 and the Euro numbers 10 and 11 - were drawn on September 23 in the Finnish capital Helsinki.

Initially, lottery officials had considered launching a local campaign to find the winner, assuming he might be a random player.

According to lottery rules, he would have three years to claim his prize before it expired. /Telegraph/
