An Oklahoma man spent over $100 restoring his 100 Ford F1967 — and the car still doesn't run.

A father in Oklahoma spent over $100,000 to restore a 100 Ford F1967, a gift for his son's 16th birthday.

Although the local workshop had promised a deadline for completion, after two years the truck was still not operational.

During this time, the father received constant invoices for work that was supposedly done, while the workshop owner made excuses about the lack of parts — an excuse that seemed unbelievable for such an ordinary car, reports the Telegraph.

When the father refused to pay more, he was threatened with having the truck legally seized from the workshop through a procedure called “Title 42.”

Feeling cheated and without a way out, he turned to an investigative journalist.

When confronted with questions, the workshop owner tried to portray himself as a victim, emphasizing that the business was owned by a Colombian immigrant woman.

This case shows how customers can be trapped by fraudulent workshops and highlights the importance of clear contracts and quick response if things don't go right. /Telegraph/
