A citizen has been rescued from a dangerous situation in Rugova Gorge, after slipping while hiking on a mountain trail and becoming trapped in an exposed area.
According to a statement from the Kosovo Mountain Search and Rescue Service (KMSR), the incident occurred on March 8, 2026 on the "Mushkave Trail" in Peja.
While walking on this path, the citizen slipped for several meters on a steep terrain, suffering bodily injuries and becoming trapped in a part with a high risk of falling into an abyss.
Due to the difficult terrain configuration and the dangerous position he was in, he requested assistance for evacuation.
After receiving the call, a team from the AKShMK station in Peja immediately headed to the scene.
Upon arrival, the team assessed the situation, provided first aid to the citizen, and then safely evacuated him.
According to the announcement, the search and rescue operation has been successfully completed, while the citizen has been wished a speedy recovery. /Telegrafi/
