A 47-year-old police officer passed away today at around 14:45 PM on "Ahmet Korenica" street in Pristina.

The news was confirmed to the Telegraph by the Kosovo Police spokesperson for the Pristina Region, Agron Borovci.


"Around 14:45, we received information about a lifeless body on 'Ahmet Korenica' street in Pristina.

The police immediately arrived at the scene, as did emergency doctors, who determined the death of the victim, a 47-year-old male police officer.

"Based on the initial information from the scene, despite the fact that there are elements suggesting suicide, the police, in coordination with the state prosecutor, have launched an investigation into the death and are examining all aspects of the case with increased care to fully elucidate the circumstances of this tragic event," said Borovci.

Borovci further said that the Kosovo Police expresses its deepest condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of the deceased officer. /Telegraph/
