The Ministry of Internal Affairs announces that yesterday evening, a 28-year-old man from the village of Kopanica was arrested after he was caught transporting five immigrants from Egypt.
"On 08.12.2025 at 20:30, at the place called "Nova Petla" in Gevgelija, police officers from the Police Station for Border Crossing and Border Surveillance Bogorodica arrested RR (28) from the village of Kopanica, Skopje suburb. During the search of the "Peugeot" vehicle with license plates from Gostivar, which he was driving, five immigrants from Egypt were found."
"The migrants were sent to the Reception-Transit Center "Vinojug" in Gevgelija, and after full documentation of the case, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against RR," the Ministry of Internal Affairs says.
