A serious incident with fatal consequences has occurred in the Belshi area, where an elderly woman lost her life after being attacked by a dog.
According to preliminary information, the victim has been identified as Emine Agolli, 65 years old, from the village of Çërraga.
She was seriously injured in her lower limbs as a result of a bite from a dog that was suspected to be owned by neighbors.
After the injuries she sustained, the 65-year-old's health condition deteriorated, leading to her death, despite medical assistance.
Police authorities have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, while measures are being taken against the person responsible for keeping and controlling the animal, in accordance with the legislation in force.
Police are expected to release additional information regarding this case, while the incident has shocked residents of the area.
