The body of a 50-year-old woman has been pulled from the waters of the Vardar River in Skopje, who was previously reported missing, the Internal Affairs Department in Skopje announced.
"On March 11, 2026 at around 11:00, police officers from the Skopje Police Station retrieved the body from the river, after which a doctor from the Emergency Medical Service determined the death. According to the instructions of the public prosecutor, the body was sent for autopsy."
"It was later determined that the woman was AHI, 50 years old from Skopje. Meanwhile, a family member had reported that the woman had left the house that morning, after 08:00 AM, and had not returned."
"An inspection has been carried out at the scene, and the competent institutions are working to clarify the case," the Skopje Police Department added.
