With a 4-3-3 formation, with three young stars in attack – this is how Iceland is expected to play against Kosovo

On Thursday, Kosovo and Iceland play the first match of the Nations League play-offs. The match will be played in Pristina, starting at 20:45, and will be decisive for both teams fighting for a place in League B.

Iceland is preparing in Spain under the guidance of new coach Arnar Gunnlaugsson.

According to Icelandic media, Gunnlaugsson intends to use a 4-3-3 formation, with Hakon Rafn Valdimarsson as the main goalkeeper.

Logi Tómasson, the only natural left back, is likely to start in the starting lineup.

In defense, Sverrir Ingi Ingason will be in the center, while the question remains whether he will play with Aron Einar Gunnarsson or Guolaugur Victor Pálsson.

Valgeir Lunddal Frioriksson, although he has been out of Fortuna Düsseldorf's squad for the last two games, is a possible option for the right side of defense.

In midfield, Stefán Teitur Thórdarson and Willum Thór Willumsson are expected to play key roles, bringing power and quality to the game.

Arnór Ingvi Traustason is likely to earn the final spot in midfield, prioritizing his experience.

In attack, Iceland will rely on the talents of Albert Gudmundsson, Hákon Arnar Haraldsson and captain Orri Steinn Óskarsson.

This trio, who play for clubs such as Lille, Fiorentina and Real Sociedad, will try to exploit every opportunity in front of the Kosovo defense.Telegraph/
