Mirdita, 38 new tourist trails are opened

For all those who are tired of the same destinations, want to try escape and new paths, now they have Mirdita, one of the most untouched areas in Albania.

38 new mountain trails have just been made, on 415 km in the mountains, with signposts and maps, thanks to an Austrian-Swiss project, as well as a website, hikingmirdita, where you can find orientation information on how to walk in the mountains of Brightening.

It has remained among the most unpromoted areas, with centuries-old towers, churches, the mountains of Munella, Zepa, Bjeshke and Oroshi, Gurra and Domgjon with tunnels and underground wells, and with the presence of one of the most beautiful animals in the world, the lynx, which is unfortunately in danger of disappearing, or even the rather special cuisine based on corn and grapes, it is well worth visiting for tourism.

The place where the Canon of Lekë Dukagjin was born, but also where the former Spaçi prison is located, has a lot to tell. It is located only 70 km, or one hour, from Tirana, along the National Road.

The best solution for the development of the area, employment is tourism and agro-tourism. This area is one of the most virgin in Albania and it deserves to be developed precisely for this reason.

The producers of the area have a lot to sell, from handicrafts to food products, but they don't have the sales they would like. /Telegraph/
