Floresha Prengu, 35, a resident of Trento in Italy and mother of two daughters, was found dead 40 kilometers from her home, along the Adige River.

Her body was identified this Thursday by her family, who had hoped until the end for a different outcome.

Floresha, of Albanian origin, was last seen in the city center on October 22. After her disappearance, the family immediately contacted the police and the public, asking for their help in finding a relative. The search for Floresha was carried out on a large scale, using river patrols, volunteer firefighters along the Adige River, as well as helicopters for aerial searches, but did not yield any concrete results, writes Courier.

For more than two months, the search spread beyond the borders of Trentino and all Italian prefectures were informed of her disappearance.

According to authorities, it is believed that the 35-year-old was swept away by the current of the Adige River, which she was unable to survive.
