A 19-year-old from the village of Brod in Štrpce was found dead a day after his family reported him missing to the police.
According to the Ferizaj Regional Police, the family had notified law enforcement yesterday, after the young man had left home and never returned. With the prosecutor's authorization, an investigative procedure was opened as a "Missing Person" case.
A day later, today, at around 13:20 p.m., young Yll Hyseni was found without signs of life in a meadow, approximately one kilometer from his home. Doctors at the Family Medicine Center in Štrpce have confirmed his death.
According to the spokesperson for the Regional Police in Ferizaj, Kanun Veseli, the police are at the scene and, under the leadership of the prosecutor, are conducting investigations to clarify the case.
"On 10.12.2025, family members from the village of Brod, municipality of Štrpce, came to the station to report a missing person case, Y. H, (19 years old), who had left home on 10.12.2025 at around 00:30 and had not returned home and his fate was unknown. The state prosecutor was contacted, who ordered the opening of the "Missing Person" case. Meanwhile, today, on 11.12.2025 at 13:20, he was found, about 1 kilometer from his home, in a meadow, with no signs of life. His death was ascertained by doctors from the Family Medicine Center in Štrpce. Police teams are at the scene and are investigating the case under the prosecutor's authorization," said Veseli.
