10 ways to help the child in learning

10 useful ways that parents can use to help their children overcome learning difficulties:

1. Show genuine interest in what your child is learning.

2. Keep a positive attitude towards the child's abilities, believe in his success and efforts.

3. Organize a place in the apartment that serves only to learn, make sure that the place is well lit.

4. While the child is learning, reduce the amount of noise in the home, turn off the TV, do not let loud music, loud conversations, ringing phones disturb him, do not allow other family members, neighbors or friends to enter the room where the child is learning.

5. Help the child to adequately organize the time for learning - let him do the most difficult tasks when he is relaxed, leave the most difficult ones for last.

6. If you investigate that the child has problems in a subject, help him recognize the IMPORTANT in the text, encourage him to take notes next to the text, with different colors, let him emphasize the important parts in the text.

7. Help the child to write the questions on the subject that can guide him in the lesson, for each question he should write a clear and correct answer. If the child accepts, you can ask or test him with the help of those questions.

8. Show them where they can find more information – the internet, the library and the like can help the child connect all the parts of the subject into a whole and connect seemingly unrelated information.

9. Encourage the child to take a break after completing the task, let him be rewarded for completing part of the task - for example with a small chocolate or a piece of fruit. Make sure that the break is no longer than 10-15 minutes so that the child can concentrate again more easily.

10. If you notice that your child has difficulties in concentration, inability to remember or in the learning process or reads/writes with difficulty, your parental obligation is to find an expert and turn to them for help. /Telegraph/
